Colorado Springs
Downtown Colorado Springs
is a good place to start. Restaurants, specialty
shops and other retailers emanate from the Cascade
and Pikes Peak Avenue intersection anchored by the
Antlers Adams Mark Hotel.
Old
Colorado City
The oldest shopping area,
referred to as "Old Colorado City," is
located along West Colorado Avenue between 24th and
27th Streets. This area is a designated National
Historic District and you will find a delightful
mix of restaurants, galleries and specialty shops.
Territory Days is an exciting celebration in the
district over Memorial Day weekend.
Regional
Shopping
The two regional shopping
complexes are the Citadel at the intersection of
Academy Boulevard and Platte Avenue (Hwy. 24), and
Chapel Hills at North Academy Boulevard and Briargate
Boulevard. Other smaller centers are located throughout
the city.
The
Shops at Briargate feature such retailers as Pottery
Barn, coldwater Creek, and Sharper Image. The other
regional shopping area is First & Main
Town Center with a 16-plex Cinemark Theatre, shops
and restaurants providing a high-quality shopping
and entertainment experience.
Castle
Rock & Denver
The town of Castle Rock,
approximately 45 miles north of Colorado Springs
has opened a number of factory outlet stores. Nordstrom's
has a store in south Denver, at the Park Meadows
shopping complex.
